homework slip = NO video games

we have a rule at our house. During the week, if there is school the next day, we have a NO VIDEO GAME rule.

We have another rule. If you get a homework slip (this means homework was not done. it could have been ONE problem, or an entire assignment. to me, it makes no difference....it's a homework slip and you should have done it!) you cannot play games on the weekend (the only time they ARE allowed on most school months, so they look forward to the weekends!).
Trevor, apparently had a homework slip Friday. He has not touched a video game all weekend. He didn't tell me anything, and i did not ask, (i figure that would have gotten me the infamous, 'worst mom in the world' speech) he knows what the consequences are.

It's amazing the things he has been doing on the weekends that he cannot play the brain rotter...video games.

He has played outside, played with the littles, was reading, playing with Lego's, pulled out all sorts of board games....

isn't it amazing how the kiddos can find the "old school" things to do when they have no video games or tv to turn to! Wow what mean disgusting parents we are, lol. Obviously they will need some sort of psychiatric help for all this torture...LOL!!
